Public Consultation

Community consultation is one aspect of Port Pirie Regional Council's decision making process. Council seeks feedback from the community and stakeholders, and aims to balance those with other influences such as budgetary constraints, to make decisions within the context of Council endorsed strategic directions.



Current Consultations

 Draft Community Land Management Plan

In accordance with the Local Government Act 1999 (SA), all Councils are required to develop and maintain a Community Land Register and Community Land Management Plan.

 Land classified as Community Land is owned by Council or under Council care, control and management. Council has a responsibility to care for and preserve the land within its control. The Act places obligations and responsibilities on Council's Community Land for the current and future benefit of the community.

 The Port Pirie Regional Council’s draft Community Land Management Plan is now open for public consultation. All residents are invited to have a say during the consultation period from 21 June to 24 July 2018.

 Council invites written comment on the draft Plan which may be submitted as follows:
