Other Rates Payment Options?
If you do not wish to pay your rates online, other options available are:
IN PERSON
- You may pay by EFTPOS, Master Card, Visa Card, Cash, Money Order or Cheques crossed 'Not Negotiable' and made payable to Port Pirie Regional Council.
- Payments are accepted at the Council Office, 115 Ellen Street, Port Pirie SA 5540 or Rural Office, Bowman Street, Crystal Brook SA 5523.
BY MAIL
- You may pay by Cheques crossed 'Not Negotiable' or Money Orders made payable to "Port Pirie Regional Council."
- Cheques are accepted conditionally subject to being met on first presentation.
- Return the bottom portion of the notice to 115 Ellen Street, Port Pirie SA 5540.
- Receipts issued only on request.
BY PHONE
- You may pay by Master Card or Visa Card.

BPAY
Biller Code 585067
- Please call your financial institution to make a payment from your savings, cheque or credit card account.
- Please enter Biller Code 585067 and your ten digit Account Number which is located on the front of your rates notice.
AUSTRALIA POST
- You may pay your rates at any participating billpay Australia Post outlet.
Ratepayers should always notify in writing any change of postal address.

Fines
In accordance with the provisions of Section 181 of the Local Government Act a statutory fine of 2% must be added to rates unpaid by the due date. Each month thereafter a further fine of the prescribed percentage must be added. It is therefore in your interest to pay rates as soon as possible.
Recovery of Rates
Where rates are not paid by the applicable due dates, monies owing may be recovered by action in any Court of Competent Jurisdiction or by requiring the occupier to pay the rent to the Council in satisfaction of such rates, or by sale of property where the rates have been due and owing for not less than three years.
