Port Pirie Festive Fair - 12 December 2013
Port Pirie Regional Council in conjunction with the Port Pirie Chamber of Commerce & Industry will be coordinating the Port Pirie Festive Fair on Thursday 12th December 2013 at Flinders View Park from 5pm – 9pm.
The event is an extension of the Port Pirie CBD Festive Fashion Affair held in December 2012, and following strong support and feedback from the business community, the event will now incorporate all interested local businesses.
The event aims to benefit local businesses and instigate economic activity by creating the framework for businesses to collaborate and leverage from the provision of entertainment at a central location. Businesses will have the opportunity to both apply and participate as stallholders at Flinders View Park, displaying their goods and services, while all Port Pirie businesses are encouraged to extend the opening hours of their stores and conduct activities to attract shoppers.
For entertainment, a fashion parade will be held in Flinders View Park from 6pm – 7pm, and children’s entertainment including face painting, balloons, & Father Christmas will be in attendance from 6pm – 8pm. A local DJ will perform for the entirety of the event to create a fun and festive atmosphere.
Businesses not located in close proximity of Flinders View Park can consider setting up a table or stall at the event to display specials or promotional material for their business. Stallholders will need to complete a permit, provide a copy of their public liability insurance, and supply all their own equipment. A small stallholder fee will be charged to offset the running costs of the event, including entertainment, advertising, and equipment costs.
Council welcomes any suggestions or questions, which can be directed to Rhys Millington, Special Events Coordinator on 0429 999 384 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
