Easter Waste Services 2013Council’s kerbside collection contractor, Veolia Environmental Services, will undertake collections as normal for Good Friday (29 March 2013) and Easter Monday (1 April 2013). During this period the Port Pirie and Crystal Brook Transfer Stations will be open as follows: Port Pirie Friday: Closed (Good Friday) Sat/Sun: As normal - 8.30am to 11.30am Monday: 8.30am to 11.30am (Public Holiday) Crystal Brook Saturday: As normal – 8.30am to 11.30am Sunday: As normal – 2.30pm to 5.30pm
Food Safety Short Course - 10 April 2013To increase knowledge and to enhance the level of professionalism within the region, TAFE SA and the Port Pirie Regional Council are offering an accredited short course in Food Safety. Cat BylawAt its meeting held on 27 February 2013, Port Pirie Regional Council resolved to make By-Law No. 6 – Cats. This By-law will, subject to contrary advice from the Legislative Review Committee, commence operation from 27 June 2013.
Kerbside Collection Service - Delivery of New BinsResidents are advised that commencing from February 25, new bins will be delivered to each residential property and participating business, as part of the introduction of Council’s new kerbside collection service. The delivery of the bins is expected to take approximately four weeks, with the first collection of these bins to commence from April 8. Each resident and participating business will receive :

Waste Services - Notice to BusinessesCouncil has recently sent out letters to all businesses relating to their options for the disposal of their waste, following the introduction of the three bin system. Those businesses who have not responded to this letter or who may not have received it, should contact Jodie Christensen at Council immediately on tel. 8633 9751 or email: jchristensen@pirie.sa.gov.au Please note that Council will only provide a waste service to those businesses that have requested the service. The new bin roll-out will commence in late February 2013 to all residents and those businesses who have indicated that they wish to receive this service.
