Public Library Computers
There is no charge to use the public library computers although time of use is limited to 1 hour per day.
Registration with the Library is not necessary; however a form of ID is required. Registered members of the library must have good standing to use the service.
Printing costs 20c per page for black and white and 50c per page for colour.
To guarantee availability, you can make a booking up to a week in advance by phone or in person. Please note that you will need to present your library card or ID when you check in and that children under 18 must have a parent's permission to use the Internet lodged with the Library.
Training Room Computer Access
The Port Pirie Regional Library, Port Pirie Branch allows patrons access to our training room computers for personal use.*
Customers are charged for using the service, however there are no restrictions as to how long or short your usage is.
No limit on download usage.
No form of ID is required.
Uses a high speed broadband service.
No booking required.

Wireless Access
Visitors to most public libraries are able to access the Internet from their own laptops at the library. Developed in association with the State Government's Public Library Services, the wireless network system uses a high-speed broadband connection and offers a high degree of security. It also provides a centralized management system that will allow any registered user to access the service from any participating library.
To gain access, all you need is a Library Membership Card, be registered to use wireless and a network card on your laptop.
