Sealed Roads & Kerbs

Port Pirie Regional Council is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of sealed and unsealed roads across the Council region.

Council manages 331 kilometres of sealed roads throughout the Council region. These roads are inspected as part of Council’s asset management processes and a rolling three-year program has been developed to align road resealing with kerb replacement, ensuring Council’s sealed road network is maintained to a safe standard.

Port Pirie Regional Council has committed $1.6million to sealing roads throughout the Council region as part of the 2023/24 Road Resealing Program (in addition to kerbing).

Council’s contractor has commenced work on a combination of spray seal and asphalted roads as follows:

Rolling road closures and work zone traffic management will be in place throughout the works.

The resealing works are expected to be completed by Wednesday 24 April 2024 (subject to weather).
