Shakka the Shark

Considered as one of many Port Pirie icons! The great white pointer became entangled in a snapper line and drowned in Germein Bay and entered local folklore when it was pulled to shore. The life-sized replica of this 5.5 metre shark, along with the original jaws, fin and the story behind this magnificent creature, is on display seven days a week at the Tourism & Arts Centre.
