The Port Pirie Regional Council is pleased to announce the return of the Port Pirie SALA Winter Festival for its second year in 2023, a weekend event showcasing arts, culture, music, food and entertainment, supported by South Australian Living Artists Festival (SALA).
The weekend will include a launch with full day and night family friendly activities in Memorial Park on Saturday.
There will also be Sunday art and craft sessions scattered throughout the region. This weekend will be the ultimate showcase to lead in to the month-long SALA Festival in our region that will see exhibitions, open studios, arts and cultural trails presented by artists across out region.
The main event will be held at Memorial Park on Saturday 5 August 2023 from 11am – 9pm and will host a range of community focused entertainment and interactive activities. It is hoped to attract thousands from surrounding areas. 2022 saw attendance in excess of 3500 with great community feedback. We hope to see much bigger and consistent crowds this year now that the community have had a taste.
