Bringing Your Dog to the Festival: What You Need to Know!!

Dogs at SALA Festival

We love seeing furry friends at our festival, please give consideration to bringing along your pooch, as not all festival conditions are suitable for dogs. If you're unsure, it might be nicer for your dog to enjoy a quite night at home.

Check out tips for a successful night in for dogs from the dog and cat management board website: https://dogandcatboard.com.au/dogs/home-alone

If your dog is well socialised and up for the event, please ensure it remains under effective physical restraint (on a leash no greater than 2 meters) at all times, and all poop deposited is quickly and appropriately disposed of (in a poop bag and then placed in a bin).

Further tips for an enjoyable outing for your dog:

*Arrive early, allowing your dog to adjust gradually to the increasing crowd, other dogs and stimuli.
*Monitor your dog for any signs of nerves and be aware of their comfort levels and remove them from any situation should they become overwhelmed.
*Constant supervision of your dog is essential, attending with a friend or partner allows you to share the responsibility, whilst enjoying the event.
*Always check with other owners before allowing dogs to interact.
