SACommunity is a database of South Australian community services including information about government, non-government, community based and some private sector organisations that provide services for the South Australian community in the areas of health, welfare, housing, education, community participation, information, legal services, arts and recreation. Searches on the site can be limited to Burnside (or any other council area), or across all council areas.

Ancestry Library Edition

The Ancestry Library Edition electronic resource is now available to patrons within the library.This is actually a collection of databases aimed at those doing genealogy. While it is an American product, it includes some Australian (and UK) databases - for example Australian Electoral Rolls 1901 - 1936; Sands Directories for Sydney and NSW 1861 - 1933; Who's Who in Australia 1921 - 1950; Australia Convict Index, 1788 - 1868, and many more. There are more than 4000 databases and 1.5 billion names!
