Expressions of Interest: 17 Bowman Street, Crystal Brook
Port Pirie Regional Council is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from community organisations, sporting clubs and not-for-profit groups interested in occupying and managing the former Crystal Brook Croquet Club facility at 17 Bowman Street, Crystal Brook.
17 Bowman Street, Crystal Brook
Total Site Area – 2350 m2
Community Land, Crown Record 5765/333
The Crystal Brook Croquet Club surrendered its lease with Council on 30 June 2026, and Council takes this opportunity to acknowledge the significant contribution the Club and its volunteers have made to the local community over many years.
Council is keen to understand the level of community interest in using the facility and has resolved to seek EOIs for its future use and management, with the aim of identifying an opportunity that delivers a continued community benefit.
The facility includes a clubhouse and established croquet greens. Organisations interested in submitting an EOI will be required to complete a submission form for Council consideration, outlining:
- their proposed use of the facility;
- the community benefits their proposal would provide;
- their organisation’s capacity to occupy and manage the site; and
- any improvements or works they may propose to undertake.
As the property is Crown land under the care and control of the Port Pirie Regional Council and is classified as community land, any future lease or licence will be subject to applicable Crown land requirements and relevant statutory processes, including community consultation.

The EOI process provides an open and transparent opportunity for Council to explore potential future uses for the site and for interested organisations to put forward their proposals. It does not commit Council to entering into a lease or licence and will allow Council to assess the proposals received before determining the most appropriate future use and management of the site.
Expression of Interest Submission Forms are available online (above, under 'Resources') or in hard copy at the following locations:
- Council Administration Centre: 115 Ellen Street, Port Pirie
- Port Pirie Library: 3 Wandearah Road, Port Pirie
- Crystal Brook Library: Bowman Street, Crystal Brook
Following the close of the EOI process, all submissions will be assessed and a report presented to Council for consideration, anticipated to be at the Ordinary Meeting of Council in November 2026.
For enquiries or to arrange an inspection of the facility, please contact Council’s Property Officer, Jodie Christensen, by email at jchristensen@pirie.sa.gov.au.
