Fire Prevention

On behalf of the Port Pirie Regional Council I thank you for taking the initiative to seek further information in relation to Fire Prevention.

Fire prevention is an important topic throughout the area, especially after the recent Bangor fires and we would like to provide you with the knowledge to implement safety measures to protect your family, animals, property and others that surround you.

Port Pirie Regional Council encourages all ratepayers and residents to undertake necessary and timely fire prevention measures before and during each Fire Danger Season and preferably without any need for enforcement action by Council.

If you are interested in joining the CFS, local brigades are always looking for new members or helpers to assist the community in times of need.

A lot of the information on Council’s Website was sourced from the South Australian Country Fire Service. The CFS Website contains multitudes of information and advice that may be of further assistance, check it out at www.cfs.sa.gov.au

I hope that you find this section of Council’s Website interesting and informative and if you have any questions or require further information please feel free to contact me on 8633 9736 and remember to Prepare.Act.Survive.
