Rates Rebates
Information
Councils are required to rebate (discount) the rates payable on some land.
A 100% rebate will be applied to land used for:
- Health services
- Religious purposes
- Public cemeteries
- The Royal Zoological Society.
A rebate of at least 75% (or more at Council's discretion) will be applied to land used by:
- Community service organisations; and
- Schools and universities.
In addition, discretionary rate rebates are also available.
