Port Pirie & District Family History Group

The Port Pirie District Family History Group was established in August, 2000.

Volunteer members are available in the History Section at the Port Pirie Regional Library to help visitors on Fridays between 1pm and 3pm.  Sundays by appointment.

The Group meet at the Port Pirie Library, Wandearah Road, Port Pirie at 4.45pm on the first Tuesday of each month for a short meeting, followed by a friendly chat.  Guest speakers are often invited to address the meeting on topics relating to the Group's research.  Everyone is most welcome to come along.

The Port Pirie District Family History Group is a non-profit organisation with the aim to preserve the history of our City and families for future generations.  Members of the Group of volunteers who will gladly help others who have similar interests in history.

Birth, Death and Marriage records are available plus family histories and reference books. Local and interstate enquiries can be researched. Enquiries are welcomed by mail, addressed to the Research Officer. Postal requests for research MUST be accompanied by a business sized pre-stamped envelope. The set charge for research is $20.00 per hour.
