Nominations Open for 2026 Certificate of Merit
Port Pirie Regional Council is inviting residents to help recognise the individuals who make a lasting difference in our community, with nominations now open for the 2026 Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Community Service.
The Certificate of Merit acknowledges the dedication, generosity and community spirit of local residents who go above and beyond to support others. Whether through years of volunteer service, advocacy, mentoring, community involvement or a single exceptional act, these awards celebrate those whose contributions help make our region a better place to live.
Multiple Certificates of Merit may be awarded each year, providing an opportunity to acknowledge a range of deserving individuals whose efforts often take place quietly behind the scenes but have a significant impact on the community.
Council encourages residents, community groups and organisations to nominate individuals whose commitment, kindness and service have helped strengthen the Port Pirie Regional Council area.
Recipients will be recognised at the Port Pirie New Year's Eve celebrations on 31 December 2026, where their contributions to the community will be formally acknowledged.
