Growth Plan
Port Pirie Regional Council (PPRC), the Member for Frome Geoff Brock MP, and Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North (RDAYMN) have joined to form the Port Pirie Planning Group which meets regularly to collaborate and discuss the growth and development opportunities within the region.
The Planning Group have identified opportunities for addressing long term growth and structural change, which we believe are fundamental to the future prosperity of the region. We believe that this will require a combination of skills, infrastructure, community facilities and industry development.
The Planning Group has prepared a Growth Strategy which has been refined following input provided at two community meetings. The Growth Strategy which focuses on infrastructure, industry attraction and community development will assist in diversifying the regions industry base as well as providing opportunities for current and future generations.
The Growth Strategy is designed to outline what we have jointly achieved to attract investment to the region and our priorities for the next three years. The Growth Strategy is designed to complement Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North’s Regional Roadmap together with Council’s various plans and strategies for the region. This Growth Strategy is intended to be concise and is supported by various other documents containing further details on each project.
