Port Pirie Transfer Station
In June 2013, the Port Pirie Regional Council opened a Transfer Station at Three Chain Road, Port Pirie. This facility provides an undercover, safe and easily accessible area for residents to dispose of waste and to recycle unwanted or damaged goods.
The Transfer Station demonstrates Council’s commitment to improving facilities used by the community. It not only provides a quicker, safer and easier way for residents to dispose of waste and recycle items, it also benefits the environment by providing recycling facilities, and decreasing odour and windblown litter.
