Council Rates Payment
Council offers the following options for the payment of rates:
Payble: An Easier Online Payment Experience
Make a payment using your Credit Card, Debit Card, or Bank Account OR Set up a Direct Debit.
Using the Payble service you have the ability to:
- Make a one off payment
- Set and forget payments via bank account, credit or debit card
- Pay in weekly, fortnightly & monthly instalments

In Person
- You may pay by EFTPOS, Master Card, Visa Card, Cash, Money Order or Cheques crossed 'Not Negotiable' and made payable to Port Pirie Regional Council.
- All payments are accepted at the Council Office, 115 Ellen Street, Port Pirie SA 5540
- All payment types except cash are accepted at the Rural Office, Bowman Street, Crystal Brook SA 5523.

Request for Refunds and Transfers
A refund on your Rates can only be requested if your Rates account is in credit. If you have overpaid your Rates you will need to provide proof of your payment, such as a bank statement or copy of the transaction showing the transaction details including the date, payment method and reference number the payment was made to. If your request is successful Council will pay your nominated bank account within three weeks.
Alternatively, if your payment has been made to an incorrect/old Rates account in error, you can request to have your payment transferred to the correct Rates account. To do this, you will need to provide evidence of your payments, such as a bank statement or a copy of the transaction showing the transaction details including the date, payment method and reference number the payment was made to. If your request is successful Council will transfer the payment within three weeks and notify you in writing once completed.
