Privately owned and operated - Kent Group provide Bus Services with regular scheduled stops around the town of Port Pirie; Monday to Friday and up until midday on Saturdays.

Port Pirie Council Community Bus – for Hire

Council owns a Community Bus which has regular bookings with Community Clubs, Health Services and other community organisations to support social activities and programs which benefit older people residing in the Port Pirie Regional Community.

The Bus is also available for hire by community groups and organisations to use responsibly on various days and times including Weekends and Evenings when not utilized for regular bookings.

The Community Bus operates under a “user pays” system whereby each group hiring the 12 seater automatic vehicle nominates a designated driver who takes responsibility for the vehicle. The group hiring the Community Bus will be invoiced for kilometre usage, any cleaning or damage to the vehicle.

Northern Passenger Transport - Community Care and Transport

Care in Motion are the contracted provider for the Northern Passenger Transport Network.

This organisation assists transport disadvantaged to travel to their nominated appointments.  They primarily provide a transport brokerage and information service and are part of the Community Transport Network (CPN) supported by volunteer drivers.

Eligibility: People living in the council areas of Flinders Ranges, Mount Remarkable, Northern Areas, Orroroo Carrieton, Peterborough, Port Augusta and the Port Pirie Region.

Stateliner Service is available from the Cultural Precinct/Tourism and Arts Centre, 3 Mary-Elie Street, Port Pirie.

Office hours  

Monday to Friday: 9:00am to 5:00pm

Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays: 10am to 2:00pm
