2024 Port Pirie New Year's Eve Party
The Port Pirie New Year’s Eve Party will return as a family-friendly spectacular on Tuesday 31 December 2024.
Port Pirie Regional Council is proud to once again host the New Year’s Eve Party, which will be located at the Port Pirie Foreshore and Solomontown Beach.
Changes to last year’s format included the family-friendly time of 5pm-10pm and making the event alcohol free to promote the safest possible environment for all attending. This format will continue this year in light of the success of last year’s event, which saw families and residents enjoying the safe, fun and relaxing atmosphere.
The event is renowned for having the best fireworks display in the region outside of Adelaide. This year’s fireworks display will light up the sky and the Pirie River at the family-friendly time of 9.30pm.
Live music will set the scene with high energy hits from headliner band Summerfield, rising country music star Caitlin Drew and the return of popular entertainer Tom Barratt.
Festivities include market stalls, food and refreshments, face painting, roving circus acts, rides, showbags and carnival games.
Our deserving 2024 Certificate of Merit recipients will be presented with their awards on the night, recognising their outstanding service to our community.
Port Pirie Regional Council aims to make this event accessible and inclusive to all in the community by offering:
- Disabled parking spaces and a taxi rank will be located on Beach Road.
- Drop-off zone and special access parking available in front of SD Caputo and Wardle Marine.
- Beach mat will be available to assist wheelchair users to access Solomontown Beach.
- Noise-cancelling headphones available for loan for both adults and children from the Council tent.
- Accessible toilets available.
- Circus acts will be roving entertainers to ensure all attending can enjoy.
Remember to bring your chairs and picnic rugs for a great night of fun and entertainment!
