A Special Morning Tea to Celebrate International Women's Day
International Women’s Day (8 March) is a day for us to join with voices around the world as we celebrate all women, in all their diversities. We celebrate those who came before us, those who stand beside us now and those who will come after.
Join us for a special morning tea at the Port Pirie Regional Art Gallery for a chat with collector Tina Hooft as she discusses her love of collecting and some of the stories behind the dresses in her current exhibition, Tina Hooft: A Country Women's Wardrobe II. Hear about the social history of 1950s Australia with Gallery Director Ursula Halpin who will give some context into women's lives at the time.
Learn how far we have come this International Women’s Day as we celebrate all women, embracing all our facets and intersections of faith, race, ethnicity, gender or sexual identity and disability.
