Availability of Public Toilets
Port Pirie Regional Council has conducted risk assessments on the public toilets in our Council region in response to the public health concerns around COVID 19. As a result, Council will increase the frequency of cleaning and checking of stocks of soaps/sanitisers and toilet paper in key facilities as well as restricting access through the temporary closure of some facilities.
Eleven of our nineteen public toilets will be targeted for the increased cleaning, with eight of the lesser used facilities to be temporarily closed. Importantly, Council has ensured that at least one public toilet facility is retained in each community in the Council region and also in publicly frequented areas eg. shopping districts.
