Bowman Park Master Landscapers Award
Bowman Park Nature Play Space has received the Master Landscapers of SA Award for Best Commercial Landscape Construction ($100,000-$200,000).
This accolade was presented to Climbing Tree Creations, which designed and constructed the play space, at the Master Landscapers of SA Awards of Excellence last month.
Bowman Park Nature Play Space was created with funding received through the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Program (Round 1). It was officially opened in June 2020 and has received great acclaim, including high ratings in many Top Nature and Adventure Playground lists around South Australia.
This award recognises excellence within the landscape industry. The judges were impressed by the unique skills involved to create the construction. “An outstanding combination of rustic techniques with a high level of professionalism made this project a stand-out,” the judges said.
The Nature Play Space compliments the beautiful Bowman Park setting. Council is continuing to work with the Bowman Park Management Committee on further improvements to the park and is currently constructing new toilet facilities (funded through the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Program Round 2).
