Bowman Street Upgrades
Published 14th May 2021
Council is nearing the completion of the Bowman Street upgrades and thanks the community for their support and patience during this time.
Some of the works completed recently:
- Upgrade of garden beds including planting, irrigation and mulching
- New street furniture
- New shelter at eastern end of the street
- Installation of street up lighting
- Installation of new pedestrian crossings
- Resealing the road
Works still to come:
- Hydro cleaning of footpath pavers
- Installation of solar heritage street lights
- Electric car charging station at the Post Office car park
- New BBQ at Jubilee Park
- Replacement of irrigation at Adelaide Square
Council’s intent is to carry out the Shopfront Improvement works using the Drought Communities Program funding and have applied for an extension to the end date due to the high demand for contractors during this very busy period.
Please be aware that sweeping and line marking of the new road surface will be occurring by the end of May. Businesses and the public will experience some minor traffic disruptions while this is completed.
Council is excited to see the final stages occur and once again thanks the community for their patience.
