Call for Artists - SALA in Crystal Brook

Published 13th July 2021

Calling all local artists and artisans to be part of the world’s biggest open-access visual arts festival!

The SA Living Artists (SALA) Festival is renowned for connecting and recognising artists and is coming to our region in August. There will be 17 different exhibitions creating a SALA trail through Port Pirie, Warnertown and Crystal Brook.

Port Pirie Regional Council is seeking artists and artisans for a regional event with a street party flavour happening in Crystal Brook. The event will be based in and around the Crystal Brook Institute on Sunday 15 August.

Council is seeking stalls for an arts market, artists to deliver workshops and musicians to perform live music.

Local Crystal Brook photographer Mark ZED will host a children’s workshop in the morning while Adelaide artist Arlon Hall will host a workshop from 12pm.

Mark ZED will also coordinate two local exhibitions in Crystal Brook on the day.

Anyone interested in being involved in the event can contact Council’s Gallery & Cultural Arts Coordinator Ursula Halpin on 8633 8724.
