Clean Up Australia Day & Free Hard Waste Disposal Day - Sunday 1 March
Do you enjoy helping a good cause? Or perhaps you’d like to help reduce the amount of waste in the environment? Come and join in the fun with Port Pirie Regional Council by rolling up your sleeves and participating in Clean Up Australia Day.
Clean Up Australia Day is the nation's largest community-based mobilisation event, and last year more than 680,000 volunteers removed over 15,000 ute loads of rubbish from the 6,901 registered locations across the country.
This year’s Clean Up in Port Pirie will be held on Sunday 1st March 2020 from 10am to 12.30pm. The meeting point will be the carpark along the foreshore of Solomontown Beach, Port Pirie.
As appreciation for everyone’s great work, participants will be rewarded with a well deserved sausage sizzle at the main BBQ shelter of Solomontown Beach where they can reflect on their efforts.
To register for the Port Pirie Clean Up please phone Sonia Cole on (08) 8633 9751 or email scole@pirie.sa.gov.au.
A Clean Up Australia Day event will also be held in Crystal Brook on Sunday 1st March 2020 from 10am to 12pm, meeting at Adelaide Square. Participants will need to supply their own drinks, a free sausage sizzle will be provided.
