Published 7th February 2022

Port Pirie Regional Council are always looking for ways to improve our services for the community and increase the visual appeal of our Council region.

In an effort to reduce water usage and save on labour costs, Council have installed an automated irrigation system across 16 ovals, parks and turfed areas.

Council will conduct testing of this system from today through to 7 March 2022 to ensure it is working efficiently and effectively. Council will closely monitor the automated irrigation system and turfed areas during this time to keep our parks, ovals and turfed areas to a high standard for community use and enjoyment.
