Declaration of Public Road (November 2024)
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 210(1) of the Local Government Act 1999 (SA) that the Port Pirie Regional Council, having resolved at the meeting held 20 December 2023, and having carried out reasonable inquiries to identify any interested parties, that the private road identified as Allotment 253 in FP 189195, Port Pirie West to be hereby declared public road.

Notice of Intention to Declare Private Road Public
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 210(1) of the Local Government Act 1999 (SA) that the Port Pirie Regional Council intends to convert a private road to public, identified as Allotment 253 in FP 189195, Port Pirie West, comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 5963, Folio 853.
The private road is not named and was created as part of various private land transfers over 100 years ago. Since that time, the Council has acquired the surrounding land, and this private road parcel has been left land locked.
Council has carried out reasonable inquiries to identify any interested parties and none have been apparent.
Following the declaration of this road as public, Council will look to close the public road under the Roads (Opening and Closing) Act 1991. The declaration will take effect no earlier than December 2024.
