Expressions of Interest: Lease of 38 David Street
Port Pirie Regional Council invites community Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the potential use of the former SA Pensioners Association land and building, located at 38 David Street, Port Pirie.
The Port Pirie Branch of the SA Pensioners Association surrendered their lease with Council in 2023. As surplus community land, Council have resolved to seek Expressions of Interest for the future use of the site, that will deliver a community benefit.
Applicants are encouraged to inspect the building prior to submission, as it is not suitable for immediate occupancy. Substantial repairs and maintenance will need to be undertaken before the building is compliant and fit for purpose. All costs associated with the upgrade of the building will be the responsibility of the future lease holder.
EOI Forms are available on Council’s website:www.pirie.sa.gov.au/noticeboard/consultation or in hard copy at the following locations:
- Council Administration Centre: 115 Ellen Street, Port Pirie
- Port Pirie Library: 3 Wandearah Road, Port Pirie
- Crystal Brook Library: Bowman Street, Crystal Brook
For enquires and to arrange an inspection, please email Council’s Assets Manager, Trevor Cugley:tcugley@pirie.sa.gov.auor phone(08) 8633 9624.
The EOI period is now open and closes at 5.00pm on Thursday 20 February 2025. Late submissions will not be considered.
EOI submissions will be presented to the Ordinary Meeting of Council in March 2025 for consideration. Further to Council endorsement, lease proposals over Crown Land are subject to approval from the Department for Environment and Water.
