Port Pirie Regional Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from members of the community for appointment to the Council's Public Arts & Culture Advisory Committee.
The purpose of the Public Arts & Culture Advisory Committee is to assist Council in the planning, development and support of arts and culture throughout the council region. This includes community consultation to develop a new public art strategy, provide advice to Council about public art and cultural aspects in Council projects that will celebrate the diverse nature of our community, to support and work with the community on arts and culture opportunities such as events and festivals.
Nominations are being invited for one member who can demonstrate an understanding of the concept of public art and its role in supporting the culture and an association with and/or understanding of the arts and cultural aspects of the Port Pirie Regional Council community.
The Committee meets 3 to 4 times per year in Port Pirie, outside of normal business hours.
