Fond Farewell to Peter Arnold
There are few employees who have experienced change in their organisation quite like our own Peter Arnold.
Peter started as an Administration Officer with the District Council in 1980 and since then, has worked for the City of Pirie, Port Pirie City and Districts and finally, Port Pirie Regional Council as it is known today.
His illustrious 32-year career with Council has covered six roles including CEO of both Port Pirie City & Districts from 1996-1998 and Port Pirie Regional Council from 1998-2001.
Peter is now enjoying well-deserved retirement. While he departed his recent role as Manager Governance in August, we pay tribute to Peter today, which, following a period of leave, is his last official work day for Port Pirie Regional Council.
Peter is pictured at his farewell with Council's Director Corporate & Community Lynne Walden (in front of the totem pole that Peter's family generously donated to the Port Pirie community).
Congratulations Peter on your official retirement! We thank you for your many years of service to Council and the community.
