Foreshore Basketball Court Design Workshops

Published 9th April 2026

Young people across the Port Pirie Region are invited to participate in an exciting creative opportunity to help design the new basketball court mural at the Port Pirie Foreshore.

Port Pirie Regional Council, in collaboration with landscape architecture and urban design studio Hatch Design, is hosting two free, hands-on design workshops as part of SA Youth Week.

These workshops will take place on Wednesday 15 April and Thursday 16 April and are completely FREE!

During the sessions, participants will explore colours, symbols, patterns and creative ideas that reflect Port Pirie’s identity, energy and youth culture, with all ideas directly informing the final concept design.

No design experience is required – just creativity, curiosity and ideas.
