Have Your Say on Design for New Basketball Half-Court
Port Pirie Regional Council is asking the community what they would like to see painted on the playing surface of the recently completed Port Pirie Riverbank Precinct basketball half-court, which opened to the public last week.
Whilst the new basketball court is now available for use, line marking cannot be completed until the warmer weather to provide the best conditions for the surfacing and line marking.
This provides us with a fantastic opportunity to help make this space into a fun and unique feature as part of the Port Pirie Riverbank Precinct Upgrade Stage 1 works.
Options for the new half-court include a Standard Sports Surface with Line Marking, Block Colours (one or more block colours) or an Artistic Mural (with a design to be determined).
Community members are encouraged to complete a short Survey to provide their preference/s for the basketball court by 5pm on Friday 20 September 2024.
The Survey can be accessed at: www.surveymonkey.com/r/riverbankbasketballcourt
Council appreciates the community’s ideas and feedback and aims to incorporate them into the final design.
