New Director Corporate & Community
Port Pirie Regional Council is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Director Corporate and Community – Stephen Rufus.
Stephen brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience with more than 25 years of Local Government service, many of those as Chief Executive Officer of regional Councils in South Australia.
Council Chief Executive Officer Peter Ackland said he was thrilled to have Stephen join the team at Port Pirie Regional Council.
“Stephen will add strength and leadership to our Corporate & Community team which will benefit from his years of experience.”
“Because of his breadth of knowledge across a range of regional communities, I am especially looking forward to how Stephen will shape our efforts to support and grow our communities. This is a key area that Council has identified in its Community Plan and with the range of projects before us, Stephen joins us at a very exciting time.”
Stephen said he was excited about the opportunity to join the Port Pirie Regional Council.
“I look forward to working closely with the Mayor, Councillors, employees and the Port Pirie and wider communities,”he said.
Stephen is expected to start in November 2023.
