New Years Eve Celebrations 2019/20
- Media Releases
Celebrate the milestone that is 2020 at the biggest New Year’s Eve party in town!
Port Pirie Regional Council’s New Year’s Eve celebrations will return to the Port Pirie Foreshore on Tuesday 31 December 2019 with the festivities kicking off at 7pm.
This family friendly event will feature rides, a jumping castle and free face painting as well as a visit from popular children’s entertainer Mr Oopy. This year, Mr Oopy will not only be showcasing his bubble skills, he will also be conducting some sand art workshops that have to be seen to be believed!
It wouldn’t be New Year’s Eve without fireworks and there are two amazing displays that will light up the skies at 9.30pm and midnight.
Live music will be performed throughout the night by Adelaide band Bliss, local band Push and acoustic performer Sarah Straschko.
For the first time, there will be two pop-up bars at the event. BYO drinks are still allowed but this is an Alcohol Go Easy Event and no glass is permitted. There will also be a wide variety of food stalls to tempt your tastebuds and even an ATM and taxi rank on Beach Road to make the night easier and more convenient.
Bring along your picnic rug and chairs and settle in for a great night of fun, food and festivities as Port Pirie and the region welcomes 2020!
