Nominate a Special Young Person for an Outstanding Achievement Award

Published 24th September 2024

Port Pirie Regional Council is excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 2024 Outstanding Achievement Awards, recognising excellence in our youth.

This award was introduced in 2023 and rewards young people in our region for their dedication, hard work, talent and achievements in their chosen passions whether it be in sport, education, arts, community service/volunteer work or any other notable areas.

This award acknowledges, encourages and promotes the positive achievements of our community’s youth and aims to inspire and applaud their extraordinary potential and early accomplishments, acknowledging their unique talents and encouraging a sense of pride and motivation for continued excellence.

“We are excited to be able to recognise young people within our community who are doing extraordinary things in their chosen areas. Our 2023 winners were highly motivated, great examples of finding a passion, working hard towards their goals and being role models for their peers to look up to and be inspired by. I look forward to hearing about this year’s nominees and their wonderful achievements and potential”, said Mayor Leon Stephens.

The Outstanding Achievement Award is open to youth up to and including 18 years of age as of 31 December each year.

Nominations close at 5.00pm Friday 15 November 2024.

The winners will be presented at the Port Pirie New Year’s Eve celebrations to be held on 31 December 2024.
