Port Pirie Outdoor Swimming Pool Re-opening
We wish to advise that there will be a short delay to the opening of the outdoor swimming pool located within the Port Pirie Aquatic and Leisure Centre. The expected opening of the outdoor pool will now be Monday 10 October 2022.
Contractors have been working diligently on the project since the end of the 2021 swimming season in order to repair pipework for the outdoor pool, with numerous works being done to the eastern and western pipes as well as repairing leaks in the gutters.
Delays have occurred due to wet weather and while the tiling process is being completed, we will need to slightly delay the opening of the outdoor pool.
The Centre’s indoor pool areas are still able to be used during this time.
Repairs are still progressing at the Crystal Brook Swimming Pool and we are hopeful that it will open as of Tuesday 1 November 2022 as planned. Further updates will be provided closer to the date.
Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and we look forward to being able to re-open the outdoor pool soon ahead of the warmer weather.
