Port Pirie Playground Replacements

Published 18th September 2023

Port Pirie Regional Council has committed $220,000 towards upgrading three neighbourhood playgrounds in Port Pirie.

Plenty Street Park, Jubilee Park and Tennyson Park playgrounds have been identified for replacement this financial year. Works will include the supply and installation of new play equipment, soft fall and edging.

Council conducts monthly inspections of all playgrounds in the region as well as four to five-yearly asset condition inspections. These inspections identify playgrounds with equipment that has reached the end of its useful life, with a playground replacement program developed to deliver upgrades when required.

The three playgrounds mentioned above have been identified as having play equipment that requires replacement.

Council anticipates the playground replacements will commence in March 2024.
