Port Pirie Visitor Information Centre Wins Bronze at SA Tourism Awards
Port Pirie Regional Council is delighted to announce that the Port Pirie Visitor Information Centre has won Bronze for Visitor Information Services at the prestigious South Australian Tourism Awards held on Friday night, a recognition of its commitment to excellence in the tourism industry.
These annual awards celebrate tourism businesses across the state that have demonstrated outstanding achievements and success throughout the year, with submissions rigorously evaluated through a 10,000-word submission, consumer rating score, digital review and a site verification visit, all of which are evaluated by a panel of expert judges.
Natalie Waite, Tourism Team Leader for Port Pirie, expressed her pride in the award:
“We are thrilled to be recognised with Bronze for Visitor Information Services at the South Australian Tourism Awards. This accolade reflects the hard work and passion of our team in showcasing Port Pirie to visitors from around Australia and the world.”
“Congratulations to our fellow winners, the Port Lincoln Visitor Information Centre and the Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre, on their well-deserved Gold and Silver wins,” Natalie added.
This latest achievement caps off a remarkable year for the Port Pirie Visitor Information Centre. Earlier this year, Port Pirie was celebrated at the Grey Nomad Awards as the Best Grey Nomad Experience in South Australia and as a Bronze Winner of Best Grey Nomad Friendly Town in Australia.
The regional City was also a finalist in the Hello SA Top Tourism Town Awards in June, further cementing Port Pirie’s reputation as a welcoming and engaging destination for all travellers.
