Rescheduled Outdoor Movie Night
- Media Releases
Port Pirie Regional Council has rescheduled its free Outdoor Movie Night due to the extreme heat forecast this week.
The screening of ‘Home Alone’ in Memorial Park, Port Pirie was originally scheduled for this Friday night. However, Friday’s predicted forecast of 43C has resulted in the decision to reschedule the event for Saturday night (following a cool change and predicted forecast of 28C on Saturday).
The event has created quite the buzz, following a Facebook poll on the Visit Port Pirie Facebook page which saw the community vote ‘Home Alone’ as their preferred Christmas film to see on the big screen.
The event will kick off at 7pm with the movie screening at sunset. There will be food and drinks available as well as free face painting and a visit from Father Christmas.
Everyone is encouraged to bring chairs and/or picnic rugs to enjoy the outdoor movie experience.
