RV Park Location Expressions of Interest
Port Pirie Regional Council is seeking public Expressions of Interest for a potential Recreational Vehicle (RV) Park location in Port Pirie.
Port Pirie currently has a free overnight parking location for RVs near Globe Oval. However, Council has been in discussions with the Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia (CMCA) for some time about improving the offerings to RV travellers to capitalise on this strong tourism market.
Minimum criteria for potential RV Park locations:
- Relative proximity to the Port Pirie CBD including ease of access for pedestrians.
- Suitable size and capacity.
- Provides pleasant amenity to promote Port Pirie.
- Cost effective access and provision to suitable services.
- Reasonably accessible by route and into the site for larger vehicles.
- Proposed operating arrangements for use as an RV Park including terms and other considerations.
- Development Approval able to be reasonably obtained.
The Expression of Interest process does not preclude Council from considering land under its care control and management.
