Save the Date: Port Pirie SALA Winter Festival Returns in 2023!
Port Pirie Regional Council is excited to announce the return of the Port Pirie SALA Winter Festival for its second year showcasing arts, culture, music, food and entertainment. An event launch will be held the night of Friday 4 August at Memorial Park and the main event festivities will be held on Saturday 5 August, also in Memorial Park.
An all South Australian-based music line-up will provide the soundtrack to the festival, headlined by exciting indie/pop band GERMEIN! and featuring Tilly Thomas and Caitlin Drew and Band. The ever-popular piano man will also be back to offer some great background atmosphere.
There will also be loads of interactive arts and culture activities, spectacular nighttime illuminations, circus acts, nature play, amusements, market stalls and a great selection of food and beverages.

Most importantly, almost all the activities are completely FREE and open to everyone!
Don’t worry about the cold, there will be plenty of undercover spaces, heaters and winter wear to keep you warm! This year, guests will be able to purchase their own Winter Festival merchandise such as hoodies, beanies and more.
The main event will be held at Memorial Park on Saturday 5 August from 11am to 9pm. More details on the exciting activities will be released via social media.
Council acknowledges event sponsors for this year being Australian Gas Network, Nyrstar and People’s Choice Credit Union, as well as event partners – SALA, SCA, Business Port Pirie, illuminart and Pirie Hire.
