Shaping a More Accessible Region: Disability Access & Inclusion Plan Open for Consultation

Published 28th April 2026

Port Pirie Regional Council has developed a new Draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) aimed at making Council facilities, public spaces and community activities more accessible and inclusive for people living with disability.

Council is now inviting feedback from the community to help inform the final Plan. People with disability, carers, advocates and community members are encouraged to share their ideas and experiences to help improve access and inclusion across the Port Pirie Regional Council area.

The Draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan, along with an Online Survey, is now available at www.pirie.sa.gov.au/DAIP.

Hard copies of the Draft Plan and Survey are also available from the following locations:

  • Council Administration Centre – 115 Ellen Street, Port Pirie
  • Port Pirie Library – 3 Wandearah Road, Port Pirie
  • Crystal Brook Office – Bowman Street, Crystal Brook

Alternatively, to request a hard copy or to provide feedback in another way, please contact Council on (08) 8633 9777.

Council values community input and looks forward to working together to create a more accessible and inclusive region for everyone.
