STAGE 2: WAR GRAVE WORKS
Port Pirie Regional Council has engaged a contractor to replace the remaining double-sided lawn beams with single lawn beams in the middle section of the War Grave area of the Port Pirie Cemetery.
The new single beam design will be placed in the exact same location as the existing double-sided lawn beams; these single lawn beams will match the other beams that are located within the area. The works is expected to take around 3 weeks, with works beginning on Tuesday, October 8 and finishing before the end of the month.
During construction Council would like to inform the general public that not all areas of the War Graves will be accessible. Council appreciates cooperation from the general public in keeping clear of any areas that may be closed off while works are carried out.
