The Port Pirie SALA Winter Festival Returns: Bigger, Brighter & More Creative Than Ever!
Port Pirie will once again sparkle in the spotlight as the Port Pirie SALA Winter Festival returns for a spectacular day and night of creativity, colour, and community celebration on Saturday 2 August 2025 from 10am to 10pm at Memorial Park.
Now in its fourth year, the event has become a much-loved highlight on the regional winter calendar. This year's theme, "Light Up the Night!", invites visitors to explore art in all its forms—through immersive installations, glowing creations, and the collective warmth of shared experiences.
Headliner Musical Entertainment
Expect all the rock hits you know and love, delivered by true Australian rock royalty, the Filthy Animals. With Australia’s most legendary musicians on stage, playing your all-time favourite songs, the Filthy Animals promise an unforgettable rock odyssey.

Applications are now open for food and market stallholders who want to be part of this dynamic celebration of South Australian Living Arts and winter festivities. Vendors are encouraged to embrace the 2025 theme, "Light Up the Night!", with ideas such as:
- Light-themed food and drink – Think glowing beverages, sparkling desserts, or dishes inspired by light, stars, and warmth.
- Lighter, on-the-go options – For wandering festivalgoers looking for quick and healthy bites.
- Illuminated stalls – Bring your space to life with creative lighting, fairy lights, and lanterns to be part of our magical marketplace.

A Zero Waste Festival
This year’s Port Pirie SALA Winter Festival is proudly a Zero Waste event.
We ask all food and market vendors to use food/beverage packaging that are certified compostable, environmentally friendly materials.
Council may support vendors with signage to showcase their actions and educate the community. Our goal is to minimise waste, so we appreciate your support in using sustainable alternatives.
We’re not just celebrating creativity—we’re doing it sustainably.
