2023 Certificate of Merit Nominations

Nominations are now open for the Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Community Service.

The Certificate of Merit was reintroduced by Mayor Leon Stephens in 2019 and provides opportunities for multiple ‘quiet achievers’ within our region to be recognised each year for their service to the community.

The Certificate of Merit recognises individuals who have made significant contributions to the community. Nominees must have a history of community involvement or have performed a single action of significance. The awards are open to all residents of the Council region who are Australian born or citizens.

“Port Pirie Regional Council is honoured to be able to recognise people within our community who deserve to be acknowledged and thanked for their contribution to our community.”, said Mayor Leon Stephens.

The awards will be presented at the Port Pirie New Year’s Eve celebrations on 31 December 2023.
