Expression of Interest for Sporting Clubs or Community Groups to use Globe Oval

Published 4th December 2023

The Port Pirie Regional Council is inviting sporting clubs and community groups to lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the use of Globe Oval.

As part of Council’s vision in establishing the Sport Precinct, and the adjoining Aquatic and Leisure Centre to provide exceptional quality regional sporting facilities, Globe Oval became a surplus recreational space and is currently being maintained as a park for community use.

In recent times, Council has received contact from a variety of sporting clubs and community groups expressing varying degrees of interest in the use of Globe Oval and would like to gain a complete understanding of all possible interests in the use of the land.

Potential options may include lease, licence, sub-lease, or sub-licence on all or part of Globe Oval.

Expression of Interest Application Forms and Guidelines are now available to download or can be obtained in hard copy at the following locations:

*      Port Pirie Regional Council Administration Centre: 115 Ellen Street, Port Pirie

*      Port Pirie Library: 3 Wandearah Road, Port Pirie

*      Crystal Brook Library: Bowman Street, Crystal Brook

A meeting will be held on Tuesday 19 December 2023 commencing at 6:00pm in the Council Chamber, 115 Ellen Street Port Pirie for community / sporting groups potentially interested in submitting an Expression of Interest for the use of Globe Oval.

The EOI period is now open and closes 2:00pm Thursday 29 February 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.
