About the opportunity

Council is looking for a suitably experienced and self-motivated person to fill the position of Regulatory Support Officer.

The Regulatory Support Officer will be required to perform a variety of administrative functions designed to support the delivery of planning, building, regulatory and health services.

The role will provide front line support to officers with response to general enquiries from the community, developers and stakeholders in respect to planning, regulation and health matters.

You will join the Development & Regulation team where you will assist to ensure compliance and relevant codes are met in development applications, gathering statistics, general record keeping and provide clerical and administrative support for minute taking, agenda preparation and updating of documents and files.

The position is classified as Level 3 of the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and Associated Enterprise Agreement.

About you

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • sound knowledge of Local Government Systems and computer based programs;
  • sound knowledge of Council policies and procedures;
  • thorough knowledge of office procedures and the role of Council;
  • sound experience in an administrative support
  • experience in MS Office and internal databases;
  • exceptional communication and written skills;
  • ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • certificate III in Business Administration is desirable
